TZM Machined Part has the characteristics of high melting point, high strength, high elastic modulus, small linear expansion coefficient, low vapor pressure, good electrical and thermal conductivity, strong corrosion resistance, and good high-temperature mechanical properties.
TZM alloy is currently the best high-temperature molybdenum alloy material. It is a solid solution hardened and particle-reinforced molybdenum-based alloy. Its composition is 0.50% titanium, 0.08% ZR, and the remaining 0.02% carbon molybdenum alloy.
People add trace elements such as titanium and zirconium to molybdenum to form trace element alloyed alloys (such as Mo-0.5Ti, Z-6, etc.) to remove the grain boundary embrittlement phase and its reactants (TiC, ZrC) acts as a dispersive phase to strengthen the alloy to improve its performance.
TZM Machined Part (molybdenum ZR titanium alloy) also has good welding properties and can be welded well with materials such as H11 steel. At the same time, TZM alloy can resist the corrosion of Zn and other molten metals. It can be cold worked by conventional methods. In the presence of cooling lubricating oil, it can be machined with cemented carbide or high-speed steel tools.

TZM alloy has good mechanical properties, especially at high temperatures. The mechanical properties of TZM alloy are better than pure molybdenum.
